I had the privilege of reviewing Touch and Toxic, and I enjoyed them both, so I was very excited to get a shot at this novella.

Brandt's story is far more interesting that I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, Brandt's a nice guy, I was just very into the Kale/Dez storyline. Faceless definitely sold me on Brandt, though.  This is a quick read, and it tells a whale of a story in just over 138 pages. Brandt is such a good soul, and he puts himself through a lot in hopes of helping his cousin.

Brandt is a soul jumper- at the moment of death, his soul jumps into another living body. He's jumped into a body that could get him closer to getting Dez the cure she needs, if he can only get control of his new body and abilities fast enough to dodge getting caught. He meets several people, expanding the repertoire of characters in this universe. One of these characters is a charismatic girl to whom he is inexplicably drawn.

As for the romance aspect: HOLY KISS IN AN ELEVATOR. That just about covers it. *fans self*

This series is a great combo of YA paranormal and YA romance, with storylines that are packed with action and characters that you either root for wholeheartedly, or love to hate. If that's just the kind of thing you like, you should check these books out.

Summary from Goodreads:
My name is Brandt Cross, and I died. Again…

I'm living in the body of a Six named Douglass Cain, a certifiable scumbag whose ability is on Zendean Industries—AKA Denazen's—most wanted list. There’s some serious bad going down, and Ginger, the leader of the Underground, sent me undercover to obtain information because people are dying.

My cousin, Dez, is dying…

Denazen thought they’d found a cure for the Supremacy decline, but they were wrong. That’s the bad news. The good news? Franklin Wentz.

Wentz, the owner of a genetic research company, is brilliant and just a little bit crazy. He’s unwittingly created a formula that may cure the sick Supremacy kids, and everyone wants it—including Devin, the super hot Resident.

Get the formula. Save the day. Don’t fall for the hot spy. Piece of cake.
